Microsoft's New Generation Xbox event is live tomorrow, get your liveblog right here!

We're gathering just outside of Microsoft's HQ for what is looking like it'll be a day full of excitement, culminating in the "special unveiling" of a "New Generation." It'll be the next Xbox for sure, replacing the venerable Xbox 360 that has been giving us gaming joy (and occasionally frustration) since way back in 2005. Will this new unit be powerful enough to stay relevant for that long, too? Or, will this be the generation when Sony takes back the lead? Join us at the link below at 1:00pm ET tomorrow!

Algerian editor accuses government of censorship

ALGIERS, Algeria (AP) ? An editor has accused Algeria's government of censorship after it blocked the publication of his two newspapers.

Hicham Aboud, editor of the My Journal and Djaridati newspapers, said that happened after he rejected an order from the Communication Ministry on Saturday night to remove an article from the papers that claimed hospitalized President Abdelaziz Bouteflika had slipped into a coma.

The 76-year-old leader suffered a stroke last month and is being treated in France.

Aboud said, "This is more than an act of censorship, it's a ban on publishing." He said the articles were quoting credible medical sources.

The Communications Ministry said its action prevented a breach of national security.

Officials have repeatedly said that the president is recovering well and will soon return to Algeria.

Videos of tornado that tore through Oklahoma

If you watched the London Olympics last summer, you saw a parade of top athletes touting the nutritional qualities of their favorite eatery: Subway. Watching Apolo Ohno or Robert Griffin III bite into a veggie footlong with avocado or hearing that Subway is ?the official training restaurant of athletes everywhere,? you might get the idea that the food served at the chain isn?t that bad for you?that it?s even?healthy.

Maths Jokes, Explained

If you have to explain a joke, that usually means it's not a very good joke. But, if you're telling a math joke, maybe it just means your audience never enjoyed algebra as much as you did. Either way, these videos help explain to the less able mathematicians out there why they're funny.

No really, they are funny. Promise. Maybe. Fortunately, the explanations?delivered dead-pan by stand-up comedian-come-mathematician Matt Parker?are equally amusing. Enjoy, both of 'em. [Numberphile]

'Britain's Obama' urges ties with West Africa

ACCRA, Ghana (AP) ? A British lawmaker widely viewed as a rising star in the Labour Party says the United Kingdom should more aggressively forge ties with West Africa's growing economies.

While leading a trade mission to Nigeria and Ghana this week, 34-year-old Chuka Umunna said it is important to counter the perception that the U.K. is a complacent partner with its former colonies.

Umunna has been branded the "British Barack Obama" by some media outlets, but he dismissed the comparison as shallow and made merely because both men are black.

Though he declined to be specific when discussing his own political ambitions, the shadow business secretary said he was eager to help bring the Labour Party back to power in the 2015 elections.
