LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- THV 11's Craig O'Neill sits down with Rodney Fritz, Team Arkansas coach in the SDFL, to talk about a partnership with the CFL.
The States Developmental Football League includes teams from four states: Arkansas, Tennessee, Texas and New Mexico. Fritz says the interest in a professional-style football program is quickly growing in the state.
In order to promote the league's growth and the development of football talent, the SDFL partnered with the CFL to help them recruit new players.
This weekend the Toronto Argonauts will host a tryout in Little Rock. The tryouts are open to anyone interested in pursuing a professional football career. They will be held at Pulaski Academy on Sunday, February 17 at 11 a.m. Registration is $100 to participate.
